About the book
This comprehensive rock climbing guide to the iconic Seneca Rocks in West Virginia has been recently revised, and is chock full of history, essays, and colorful action photography. Seneca has long been known for its hard, run-out climbs, and if you can climb certain grade at Seneca, you can climb that grade anywhere. Despite this reputation, there are well-protected moderate routes, and with climbs ranging from one to four pitches on vertical to steep stone, and grades from 5.3 to 5.12, everyone can experience the unique climbing at Seneca. The bonus is the fact that you can summit the most dramatic formation east of the Mississippi.

About the authors
Andy Weinmann has been climbing at Seneca for decades, and finds that it’s still one of his favorite areas, despite the fact that he has travelled widely for climbing, on multiple continents. He expresses his love for the area by serving— he has volunteered for hours of trail work, and served as vice president for the Friends of Seneca.
Kevin O’Brien first visited Seneca in 1976 while attending West Virginia University and got hooked on the climbing there. He pursued a career in outdoor sports as a freelance creative, professional climbing and river guide, and instructor. He has also traveled extensively for work, and has contributed to several publications, such as National Geographic, Outside, Time, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated.
