App FAQ's

Is this just another ebook app?
Unlike typical ebook apps, our app is fully interactive. Explore maps of the area. Search for climbs at your level. Create a tick list and log your progress. Pan and zoom full screen action photos. Our app contains all the content of the guidebook and brings it to life.

Do I need to have an Internet connection to use the app?
No. All of the app content is stored locally on your iPhone/iPod touch. As a result, browsing route information is blazingly fast compared to visiting webpage-based climbing databases. You can use the app even while flying on an airplane. Only the Navigation maps need a data connection for updating. The app will cache maps you have already viewed to make them available when you don't have a data connection.

What is the difference between the Lite and Full versions?
The Lite version has all the interactive features and supplementary content of the Full version so you can check out all the amazing features of the app. But it only has route information for a few classic cliffs.

How many climbs are there in the app?
The full version of our apps contain all the routes and boulder problems in our print guidebook. In addition, the app has many more action photographs, and regular updates with new routes (see below).

New routes are constantly being developed? Is my app going to be out of date in a year?
No. Wolverine will be issuing free app updates every 6 months with additional and updated route information during the first 2 years of the app. Unlike printed versions, your guidebook is never out of date!

I have an iPod touch, can I still use the app?
Absolutely. The only drawback to using the iPod touch is you won't be able to see your location on the map because these devices do not have GPS.

If I buy the app, can I get the print guidebook for a reduced price?
Yes! Send your iTunes receipt for the full version of the app to app@wolverinepublishing.com and we will mail you a coupon that allows you to buy the print book at a reduced price.
